Sony has added a new audio product, dubbed the Sony LinkBuds WF-L900, to its range of truly wireless earphones. The new earbuds sport an ergonomic open ring design with 12mm ring drivers and come with features such as Adaptive Volume Control and Audio transparency. The earbuds will go on sale starting from August 13, 2022 in the country. Interested buyers can purchase the newly launched LinkBuds via Sony retail stores, ShopatSC portal, major electronic stores, and various e-commerce platforms in India. The Sony LinkBuds come in black and grey colour options.
Customers can also pre-book the LinkBuds for a discounted price of ₹12,990 and receive a benefit of ₹7,000, which will include a ₹2,000 cashback on various debit and credit cards. The offer is valid from August 4 until August 12, 2022.
Sony LinkBuds Features, Specifications
The Sony LinkBuds come equipped with 12mm Open ring drivers, Sony processor V1, and DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) support for a rich audio experience. The earbuds feature Adaptive Volume Control that automatically optimizes volume depending on the external environment. Besides, you can simply tap in front of your ears to control audio and enjoy smart features, such as activating Google Assistant or Alexa.
In terms of connectivity, the Sony LinkBuds offer Bluetooth v5.2 and support A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, and HSP codecs. They also come with support for Google’s new Fast Pair as well as Swift Pair technology. Additionally, you can configure the Sony LinkBuds to resume Spotify playback by just tapping on it. The LinkBuds come with an IPX4 rating for water resistance.
When it comes to the battery, the Sony claims that the LinkBuds last for up to 17.5 hours on a single charge, with charging case included. A mere 10-minute of charge is said to deliver up to 90 minutes of playback. Users can use the Sony Headphones Connect app to receive alerts in case the charging case’s battery drains below 30 percent.
Furthermore, the earbuds have a speak-to-chat feature, where the music will automatically pause when you start talking, and the same will resume when you are done. Other key features of the Sony LinkBuds include support for 360 Reality Audio and Microsoft Soundscape app. The LinkBuds also come with a USB Type-C and Fast Charge support. As for the box contents, you will receive a pair of LinkBuds bundled with five different sizes of fitting supporters (ear tips), and a USB-C charging cable.
