At the beginning of the year, Sony announced the PlayStation VR2 at the CES 2022. Now, the company has offered an early look at the user experience features, which include a see-through view and broadcasting option.

You can use this function to perhaps quickly switch between gaming to check on something without removing your headset. The PS VR2 comes with embedded front cameras which can be enabled either by pressing the function button on the headset or via the Card in the Control Center. Do note that the see-through feature does not allow you to record your surroundings.
Broadcast Option For Sony PlayStation VR2
For those who love to record themselves while gaming, the PS VR2 has a broadcast option. This feature lets you connect a PS5 HD Camera to the console to film yourself as you game.
Custom Play Area
The PS VR2 also allows you to customise your play area. The embedded cameras scan the room for obstacles, and you’ll be notified if you get close to the boundary. Additionally, the PS VR2 Sense controllers will let you modify the play area as per your preference.
VR Mode
VR Mode for the PS VR2 allows gamers to play with a 360-degree view of the surroundings. The display will have a 4000 x 2040 HDR video format and a refresh rate of 90Hz/120Hz.
Cinematic Mode
The PS VR2 gets a Cinematic Mode which will display videos in a 1920×1080 HDR format with a frame rate of 60Hz/120Hz. This mode lets gamers view the PS5 system as well as non-VR content on a virtual cinema screen.
Sony announced that it will be revealing details such as the launch date and new games for the PS VR2 soon.
