Sony has added three new portable Bluetooth speakers to its wireless speaker lineup in the US, namely the Sony SRS-XG300, Sony SRS-XE300, and Sony SRS-XE200. The trio comes in different shapes and sizes and offers X-Balanced speakers, Clear Audio+, adjustable EQ, Mega Bass, up to 25 hours of battery backup, calling features, and an IP67 water/dust resistance, among other features. It comes with a cylindrical shape and a retractable handle, which makes this large portable speaker easy to carry around. The XG300 sports two X-Balanced speakers, two tweeters, and two passive radiators. It comes loaded with a Mega Bass feature for a powerful sound, ClearAudio+ for a natural sound experience, and a Live Sound mode.
You can tweak its EQ as per your taste via the Music Center app. Moreover, you can connect the XG300 with multiple speakers for Party Connect or Stereo Pair mode. The wireless speaker comes with customisable LED rings on either end. Sony claims the XG300 can deliver up to 25 hours of music playback on a single charge. Fast charging it for 10 minutes would give you about 70 minutes of playtime. The Sony SRS-XG300 is priced at $350 (approx. ₹27,860) and comes in grey and black colour options.
Sony SRS-XE300: Highlights
The Sony SRS-XE300 comes with a pentagon shape. It gets X-Balanced drivers and a line-shape diffuser that provides an evenly spread out sound to the listener. This one too gets the Party Connect and Stereo Pair features, which enables you to connect multiple speakers for louder sound output. For calling, it comes with a microphone, mute button for calls, and Echo Cancelling feature.
The speaker comes with an IP67 rating for water/dust resistance and is also shockproof. The Sony XE300 portable speaker promises up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge. Charging it for 10 minutes will reportedly give you about 70 minutes of playback. The XE300 is priced at $200 (approx. ₹16,000) and comes in grey, black, and blue colourways.
Sony SRS-XE200: Highlights
The Sony SRS-XE200 Bluetooth speaker is the smallest of the lot. It carries the same design and build as the XE300, but gets an attached carrying strap, which the bigger XE300 lacks. It gets the X-Balanced drivers and line-shape type diffuser for wider coverage. The speaker gets Sony’s Party Connect and Stereo Pair features. It is shockproof and IP67 rated for water/dust resistance. The wireless speaker can reportedly last for up to 16 hours on a single charge. A quick 10-minute top-up should give you about 70 minutes of playback. The XE200 is priced at $130 (approx. ₹10,500) and comes in grey, blue, black, and orange colour options.
