Sony India has introduced three new portable Bluetooth speakers—SRS-XG300, SRS-XE300, and SRS-XE200. These portable wireless speakers are launched at different price points, with the SRS-XE200 being at the lower end of the spectrum and the SRS-XG300 being the most expensive and feature-rich of the lot. They pack in X-Balanced Speakers, Live Sound Mode, MEGA BASS, Party Connect, up to 25 hours of battery backup, IP67 rating, fast charging, and a USB Type-C port, among other features.

It gets a retractable handle, which the other two lack. The portable speaker also gets LED ring lights, which makes it an apt device for outdoor parties. Sony’s Party Connect feature lets you connect up to 100 compatible wireless speakers. The XG300 sports two X-Balanced speakers, two tweeters, and two passive radiators to provide a powerful and clear sound output.
Some noteworthy audio features include Live Sound Mode, MEGA BASS, DSP technology, and Line-Shaper Diffuser technology, among others. The wireless speaker comes with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. Sony says the speaker also gets a rustproof body. Connectivity features include Bluetooth v5.2 and Google Fast Pair support. I/O ports include a stereo mini jack (IN), a USB Type-C port, and a USB Type-A port (Only for DC OUT). The SRS-XG300 offers up to 25 hours of playtime and fast charging support.
Sony SRS-XE300: Highlights
The Sony SRS-XE300 also features an X-Balanced Speaker unit. The Line-Shape Diffuser provides a wider three-dimensional surround sound experience. The speaker comes with a custom equaliser, which lets you adjust Bass, Mid, and Treble according to your taste. For reliable connectivity, it comes with Bluetooth v5.2 and supports SBC, AAC, and LDAC codecs.
The portable speaker supports Sony’s Music Center and Fiestable apps. SRS-XE300 comes with ANS, which is Sony’s mic-detecting technology that analyses background noises to adjust the volume accordingly and save battery life. Furthermore, the portable speaker comes with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, which would allow you to take it poolside or on the beach. When it comes to battery backup, the device is reported to offer about 24 hours of playtime on a single charge.
Sony SRS-XE200: Highlights
The Sony SRS-XE200 is made from recycled plastic, just like the XE300. The speaker comes with a strap for portability. It boasts of a Line-Shape Diffuser for an evenly spread sound output. The X-Balanced speakers promise a clear sound and punchy bass.
The Sony SRS-XE200 also comes with Bluetooth v5.2 and Google’s Fast Pair support. It gets Sony’s ANS ambient noise sensing feature and comes with an IP67 water/dust certification. There’s a USB Type-C port for charging and Party Connect. The SRS-XE200 is said to offer about 16 hours of battery life and fast charging support.
Sony SRS-XG300, SRS-XE300, And SRS-XE200: Price, Availability
The Sony SRS-XG300 comes at a price tag of ₹26,990 and will be available from August 25, 2022 onwards. The Sony SRS-XE300 comes at a price of ₹19,990 and will go on sale from September 10. Lastly, the Sony SRS-XE200 is priced at ₹12,990 and will be available from September 30. These portable wireless speakers can be purchased via Sony retail stores, major offline retail stores, online, and from the ShopatSC portal in India.
