Sony Xperia 10 II, Xperia 10 III Android 12 Update Will Be Released Soon

Sony is gearing up to release the latest Android 12 OS for two of its Xperia devices—the Sony Xperia 10 II and Sony Xperia 10 III. After recently hitting the Sony Xperia 5 III and Sony Xperia 1 III devices with the updates, the latest Android OS will be making its way to a couple more mid-range smartphones from the brand. Android 12 was announced in June 2021 and the two devices from Sony are likely to receive the update in due time.

Android 12 For Sony Xperia 10 II and Sony Xperia 10 III

Sony recently pushed a stable Android 12 update for its flagship device, the Sony Xperia 5 III, from 2020. The Sony Xperia 1 III runs the latest Android version, too. Shifting its focus to more affordable smartphones, the company will soon be releasing the Android 12 for two of its devices falling in the mid-range bracket.

A recent Instagram post from the brand suggests that the latest Android OS will hit the Sony Xperia 10 II and Sony Xperia 10 III “very soon”. Considering the fact that the Sony Xperia 10 II is a 2-year-old budget smartphone, the latest update by the company is commendable.

The Sony Xperia 10 III was also launched last year, and we may see it get the latest version of Android this month. It will be interesting to see if Sony releases the update for both devices at the same time. Even if there are two different timelines for the rollout, we are still glad that both devices will soon receive Android 12.

However, there is no word on whether the Sony Xperia 10 III Lite will receive the update or not. According to the company, the latest Android 12 will arrive OTA (over the air) for the Sony Xperia 10 II and Sony Xperia 10 III owners. Packed with exciting new features and security updates, Android 12 will likely release for the two Sony midrangers in the month of March itself.
