Tag Heuer, the Swiss watchmaker, has added two new luxury smartwatches called the Connected Calibre E4 series. These watches run on Google’s Wear OS and offer better displays, faster processor, and enhanced battery life over the previous generation E3 series. These will be offered in a smaller 42mm size with an understated look. The 45mm version will be more expensive, built with premium materials, and would attract folks who like bulky-looking watches.

Both the smartwatches sport OLED displays with sapphire crystal glass on top. The watches come with a water resistance rating of up to 50 metres.
The Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 series has received a bump up in power, as it is now powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4100+ chipset. Along with the hardware improvements, Tag Heuer has made some tweaks in the software department. It has included guided workout features in this new generation of watches. The new watch faces provide you with information related to sports, fitness, weather etc. at a glance.
The company says these new watches will be able to sync information with the smartphone more quickly than the older generation. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, heart rate, altimeter, GPS, and compass.
The Connected Calibre E4 smartwatches won’t be running Wear OS 3.0 out-of-the-box but will come loaded with Wear OS 2.0. However, the company has promised it will receive the Wear OS 3.0 update. Both the watches are claimed to deliver one day of battery backup.

The 45mm Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 smartwatch will set you back by $2,500 (approx. ₹1,88,600). The smaller 42mm model comes with a price tag of $1800 (approx. ₹1,36,000). Both the models are expected to reach the stores by March 10, 2022.
