Tata Tiago EV Specifications
The Tata Tiago hatchback, which has been offered in India since 2016, serves as the foundation for the Tata Tiago EV. The company has switched out the petrol engine for an electric drivetrain while still maintaining the same platform. A blocked-out face, an updated air dam with Tata’s distinctive Tri-Arrow pattern design, electric blue highlights, and other visual alterations have all been made to the Tiago EV just like its bigger cousin, the Tata Nexon EV.
Tata’s Ziptron technology will be included in the Tata Tiago EV, and there will be two different battery pack choices. The bigger battery pack measures 24kWh, while the smaller battery pack has a rating of 19.4kWh. The projected test cycle range for the Tata Tiago EV with the 19.4kWh battery pack is 250 km, while the range for the bigger battery pack is 315 km.
The battery and motor in the Tiago EV powertrain are both IP67-certified and come with an 8-year/1.6 lakh kilometre warranty. The EV comes with four different charging options: a DC fast charger, a 7.2kWh AC home charger, a 3.3kW AC home charger, and a 15A household plug. The Tiago EV can reportedly be charged from 0 to 80% in just 57 minutes with a DC charger and from 0 to 60% with a 7.2kW fast charger.
The Tata Tiago EV also comes equipped with airbags, ABS, EBD, a rear parking camera, multiple levels of regenerative braking, cruise control, leatherette perforated seats, auto climate control, and rain-sensing wipers. Furthermore, it comes with auto headlamps, power windows, a cooled glove box, push button start-stop, rear wash wipes and defogger, fog lamps, LED DRLs, projector headlamps, and a digital instrument cluster. Additionally, it will receive connected car technology through Tata’s ZConect app, which enables remote control of the AC, vehicle tracking and geofencing, a charging station finder, driving data analytics, and other features.
