Today, Tecno has launched its latest smartphone, the Tecno Pova 2 in India. It is a successor to the Tecno Pova, which was introduced last year. The Tecno Pova 2 features a 6.9-inch FHD+ display, an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, a 48MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP selfie camera, and up to 6GB of RAM. Its unique selling point is its massive 7,000mAh battery, though, which supports 18W fast charging.

Tecno Pova 2 Price in India, Availability

The Tecno Pova 2 price in India starts at ₹10,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB variant, while the 6GB RAM variant retails for ₹12,999. The device will be available at a special price of ₹10,499 and ₹12,499, respectively, for a limited period. It will go on sale via from August 5 at midnight. The device comes in three colour variants: Dazzle Black, Energy Blue, and Polar Silver.

Tecno Pova 2 Specifications

The Tecno Pova 2 sports a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution (2,460 x 1,080 pixels). The display panel has 480 nits of brightness and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G85 processor that has the Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU. The phone ships with 4GB/6GB LPDDR4x of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The device also has a microSD card slot that allows storage expansion by up to an additional 256GB.

On the software side of things, the Pova 2 runs Android 11-based HiOS 7.6 out of the box. The smartphone sports a quad-camera setup, consisting of a 48MP primary camera, a 2MP depth sensor, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP AI lens. We can call three of these four cameras as sticker cameras. On the front, the phone has an 8MP selfie camera.

Dimensions-wise, the smartphone measures 173.32 x 78.78 x 9.62mm. The device features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include dual-4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. The phone is powered by a 7,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
