Tecno Pova 5G with Dimensity 900 Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Tecno has launched its first 5G-enabled handset in the Indian market. The Tecno Pova 5G is a performance-focused smartphone and packs a Dimensity 900 processor, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. The Tecno Pova 5G comes in only one storage memory configuration—8GB + 128GB, and will be available at an introductory price of ₹19,999. As a launch offer, the company is also providing a power bank worth ₹1,999 as a freebie. The handset will be available for purchase starting February 14 exclusively via amazon.in.

Tecno Pova 5G Specifications and Features

The Tecno Pova 5G features a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ (2460 × 1080 pixel) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The display panel has a centered punch hole notch.

The Tecno Pova 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor built on a 6nm fabrication process and brings with it an integrated Mali G68 GPU. The smartphone makes use of 2 × Cortex A78 performance cores and 6 × Cortex A55 efficiency cores. It packs 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Users also have an option to expand the storage further with the help of a micro-SD card slot.

In terms of optics, the device comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup and a quad-LED flash setup. The primary shooter on the device is a 50MP sensor. Accompanying it is a 2MP macro lens and an AI lens. For selfies, Tecno has opted for a 16MP front shooter along with dual LED flashes.

The Tecno Pova 5G has a 6,000mAh battery unit and supports 18W fast charging. It gets a Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5m audio jack. The handset boots Android 11 with the company’s proprietary HiOS 8.0 skin on top. In terms of connectivity, you get dual-SIM, 5G, 4G, VoLTE, WiFi 6 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and GLONASS. It measures 172.82×78.24×9.07mm and will retail only in Aether Black colour variant in the country.
