Despite the fact that WhatsApp has the most users, Telegram is the winner when it comes to a richer and more feature-laden chat app. Telegram is a close-knit community that aids with the monthly release of services and features. Every month, Telegram releases new features and improvements, and this month is no exception. Following last month’s upgrade, which brought UI modifications and many more core changes to the messaging service, this new Telegram 8.7.0 version introduces two key features.
The initial update feature allows you to create your own notification tones. This might be your favourite song, sound, or even a meme. Any tone you like can be set to any chat on the service as a notification tone. Because Telegram is cloud-based, all of these changes will be automatically synced to all of your devices. Next on the list of enhancements is the option to set custom mute periods to a chat. By default, you can mute a chat for eight hours or up to two days, but with the new version, you can silence a chat for months at a time.

Granular controls are now available, and these intervals permit more variable timer settings. You can programme the timer to run for one day, two weeks, three months, or longer.
The Telegram development team also previewed a feature that is not yet fully ready for the public but has the potential to be a game-changer in the market. This new tool, which runs on Telegram’s Bot platform, allows you to imitate an entire website within the chat window. This is accomplished through the use of Javascript, and Telegram already has a small demo for the feature available, which can be accessed here.
