Telegram Premium iOS Beta Offers New Reaction Emoji And Stickers

Last year, Telegram had announced that it will be adding revenue streams for the company via ad sales and premium features. A new iOS beta has been spotted in the wild, which offers a peek at what the Premium service could have on offer. Notably, it includes exclusive stickers and emoji.

Telegram Premium Exclusives

According to Android Police, the Telegram Beta channel published a variety of reaction emoji and stickers as Telegram Premium features. These exclusive offerings are included in the latest beta test version 8.7.2.

Premium stickers and emoji will only be available to those who have registered for the Telegram Premium service. This feature will be blocked from free users, and they will be prompted to unlock them by signing up for the Telegram Premium subscription. Some details remain shrouded in mystery, such as the price, availability, and list of services.

Telegram Avatar Creator For macOS

Besides iOS, Telegram has some goodies lined up for macOS users as well. A Reddit user posted images of a new feature purportedly called “avatar creator” on the r/Telegram subreddit. The new feature will allow you to customise your own monogram and add plain or patterned gradients to stickers. There’s no clarity on whether it will be available to Telegram Premium users only. Moreover, there’s no word on the release date.

The popular messaging platform has been trying to monetise some of its services since last year. It started out by testing Sponsored Messages (advertisements) in public channels that had over 1000 subscribers. The company continues to roll out major update for free users as well. For instance, Telegram’s 8.7.0 version allows you to create your own notification tones for message alerts.
