Whirlpool employs a host of sensors to check and manage multiple features in your appliance for a seamless user experience.

What this means for you: Whirlpool’s sensors auto-detect and adjust features like temperature control, freshness and other parameters.

6th Sense Intellicool™ Technology

There are 3 sensors on the exterior of the door, in the freezer and the fresh foods compartment that interact together to give better moisture retention, faster ice making & faster bottle cooling at lowest energy cost.

What this means for you: Sensors take in the outside temperature and accordingly tweak the temperature inside the fridge and freezer in order to give better cooling but at lower costs.

6th Sense PowerCool™ Technology

This feature retains cooling for up to 12 hours during power cuts so food and beverages stay cool for longer.

What this means for you: Even during a long power cut, your refrigerated items will be maintained at optimal temperature for up to 12 hours.

6th Sense Deep Freeze™ Technology

The fridge reaches the coldest temperature with minimum energy consumption. Cold air circulates throughout the freezer to prevent loss of temperature when the freezer is opened and prevents the formation of ice crystals on frozen items.

 

What this means for you: You do not incur additional energy charges even when the fridge is at its coldest temperature. Cold air is kept circulating throughout the freezer so even when you open the compartment, there is minimal loss of cold temperature, and the circulating air prevents the build-up of ice crystals on frozen foods.

What this means for you: In most fridges, the door temperature is the lowest, which means bottles take longer to cool. But in Whirlpool, the 6th Sense Quick Chill™  Technology chills your bottles quickly so you don’t have to wait too long for cold water or beverages.

7-Day Garden Fresh™ Technology

The fridge retains moisture for up to 35% to keep vegetables fresh for a week

What this means for you: Your vegetables stay fresh for up to 7 days with sensors helping to retain optimal moisture levels.

Accu-Chill™ Temperature Management System

6th Sense™ technology uses built-in sensors to measure the internal temperature and activates the compressor only when necessary to conserve energy.

What this means for you: The compressor runs only when sensors trigger it in response to changes in the internal temperature so your energy costs are kept low while the temperature remains optimal.

Adjustable Door Storage

Gives you the flexibility to store beverages anywhere in the refrigerator door by moving bins where and when you need them.

What this means for you: Door bins can be moved and adjusted so you can store bottles according to their height.

Automatic Defrost System

Refrigerators with this system include a timer, a limit switch and a heater that melts away frost so you don’t have to manually defrost the freezer.

What this means for you: Frost is taken care of by the timer which notifies the limit switch, which in turn raises the temperature in the freezer briefly so any built-up ice is melted. Once the function is done, the timer switches on again and the temperature returns to normal. This makes your fridge have auto defrost capabilities so you don’t have to bother with defrosting.

Automatic Crisp Ice

You can add water in a special compartment and the fridge uses a Japanese AG + Filter Block Technology to make ice

Air Booster

The Airbooster system controls the circulation the cold air, so that each compartment receives the precise cooling it requires. This not only provides the most efficient cooling of each section but also prevents odor mixing between the three zones.

Advanced Moisture Control Technology

The Crisper has an Advanced Moisture Control knob and in-build Freshonizer to maintain correct moisture for your vegetables to keep them fresh for up to 7 days.

What this means for you: The unique Crisper drawer of the fridge has a knob to control moisture and a Freshonizer (see below) to ensure that the optimum moisture is maintained in this compartment to keep your vegetables fresh for up to 7 days.

 

Air Tower

The scientifically designed air tower uses vents placed at the strategic locations so they can let out cool fresh air to different sections of the fridge for the cooling required at those sections.

What this means for you: The fridge creates a tower of air with strategically placed vents that release cool air to different parts of the fridge for uniform cooling.

Active Deo

Located at the bottom of the Freshflow Air Tower, the Active Deo function helps keep the fridge environment fresh and odor-free.

What this means for you: The Active Deo function takes care of odors from the food, so they do not get mixed together and the internal air is always fresh.

Anti-Bacterial Gasket

The antibacterial gasket in Whirlpool is removable and prevents the build-up of fungi and bacteria inside the refrigerator keeping your food healthy and hygienic for longer periods.

What this means for you: The antibacterial gasket on the door prevents any contact of your refrigerated items with outside air making the interiors free of fungi and bacteria and completely hygienic.

Additional Shelving

Additional toughened shelf on the vegetable crisper provides extra space for extra storage.

The shelves inside the fridge can be adjusted as per height requirements

Chilling Gel

Cool air is stored and released in the event of a power cut to prevent spoilage.

What this means for you: A special gel stores cool air and releases it in the event of a power cut so the temperature inside the fridge and freezer is maintained in order to prevent spoilage.

Choco Box

A special tray that lets you store chocolate in one place at an appropriate temperature.

What this means for you: You can store your chocolates at optimal temperatures in a special tray in the fridge.

Chiller

Dedicated Zone for Dairy Products.

What this means for you: Dairy products such as milk, butter and curd can be stored at appropriate temperatures in a dedicated tray in the fridge.

Cyclopentane Insulation

Whirlpool refrigerators use a new, more environment friendly insulation material called Cyclopentane and a green refrigerant called R600a which results in zero ozone depletion and significant reductions in CO2 emissions.

DC Inverter Compressor

Dairy Fresh Chiller

Deep Chiller

Extra deep chiller zone stores and chills four 1l bottles up to 2 times faster.

 

 

What this means for you: The Deep Chiller zone can hold up to four 1-liter bottles and cool them 2-times faster than when kept at the regular door pockets.

Everyday Fresh

With the easy glide movement of the “Everyday Fresh” tray, accessing things even at the back and the corner becomes quick and easy.

What this means for you: A pull-out tray lets you access items kept in the corners or at the back. These items are typically forgotten because you cannot see them easily, but the Everyday Fresh tray slides out to let you see them and consume them before their expiry date.

Fresh UV Light

Removes pesticides, keeping your food healthy and fresh.

What this means for you: UV light doesn’t exactly remove pesticides, as Whirlpool claims. But it does damage the structure of bacteria, virus and mould cells so these cannot grow on your food.

Freshflow™ Flexi-Vents

Strategically placed vents that let out cool and fresh air into different sections of the refrigerator.

What this means for you: See Air Tower. Although it may not always be in the shape of a tower, Flexi vents are spread out on the body of the fridge to release cool and fresh air on different sections in the fridge.

Fresh Keeper

Keeps vegetables safe for a longer time.

What this means for you: Special vents at the vegetable crisper takes care of moisture control and keeps temperatures at optimal levels to ensure your vegetables stay fresh longer.

 

Fresh Flow Air System

Freshonizer

Reduces oxidation to maintain original freshness.

What this means for you: The process of oxidation in the food releases chemicals called free radicals, which damage cell membranes and other structures, leading to spoilage. The end-product of oxidation is not absorbed by the human body. The Freshonizer reduces the intensity of this oxidation so your food stays fresh longer.

Fruit Crisper

A section that lets you keep fruits away from the other food items, and make sure that odors do not mix.

 

What this means for you: A separate zone to store your fruits means that they will not absorb any other odor (the kind that comes from curries, for example) from food kept in the fridge.

Fresh-N-Sort Crisper Separator

The fresh-n-sort that fits perfectly inside the vegetable crisper not only gives you easy access to small veggies but also acts as a crisper separator.

What this means for you: Small vegetables like lemons are easier to store and will not get lost under bigger vegetables in the crisper.

In Insulated capillary™ technology, the capillary which carries the refrigerant from the Compressor to the freezer is surrounded by super cold gas leading to benefits such as better compressor efficiency, faster cooling and 12 Hours cooling retention in the refrigerator.
