Mobvoi, a consumer electronics company based out of Beijing, has launched its new smartphone—TicWatch Pro X—in China. It is expected to bring some improvements over its predecessor, the TicWatch Pro 3. The new smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset and has dual displays. It promises an outstanding battery backup of up to 45 days on a single charge in its special battery saving mode. Let us dive in to find what this smartphone has to offer.

Additionally, it has a secondary display that uses an FSTN LCD panel and it consumes close to no power. The smartwatch comes with two modes: Smart and Durable. The Smart mode enables the AMOLED display and lets you experience all the features of the smartwatch, and in this mode, the smartwatch provides a battery life of up to 4 days. On the other hand, the ‘Durable’ mode uses the coloured FSTN LCD screen and disable some features to provide a 45-day standby time.
The TicWatch Pro X is powered by a Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset that is built on the 12nm process. The SoC (System on Chip) comprises of a quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU, Adreno 504 GPU, 1GB LPDDR3 memory (750MHz), 8GB of onboard storage, and dual ISPs for modem/location, and sensors. It also uses an AON ultra-low power co-processor for offloading a series of use cases including display, sensors, maps, and time.
The smartwatch runs on Google’s Wear OS 2.0 operating system and offers over 20 modes to track different sporting activities, including swimming, cycling, and mountain climbing. It can record and display calories burnt, heart rate, and other activity metrics. The ‘Ticmotion’ feature detects the user’s physical activities and automatically activate the relevant workout mode.
The TicWatch Pro X comes with a built-in microphone and a loudspeaker to allow users to make voice calls via its eSIM support for 4G LTE and VoLTE connectivity. It comes with GPS, Galileo, Beidou, and GLONASS navigation systems. It also features 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, and NFC for mobile payments.
TicWatch Pro X Pricing And Availability
According to folks over at GizmoChina, the TicWatch Pro X is up for pre-orders in China via JD.com in China. It is priced at CNY 1,999 (around ₹23,170). It will go on sale from October 11, 2021, for CNY 2,399 (around ₹27,800). The smartwatch comes in just one colour with options of black or brown watch straps.
