TP-Link Deco App For Wi-Fi Routers Gets A Major Redesign, New Features

TP-Link, a popular networking products manufacturer, has released a major update to the official Deco routers app. The newest update brings along a redesigned interface, new Parental Controls, detailed network statistics, and more. The latest features are introduced via version 3.0 of the Deco app. Let us check out the update in detail.

TP-Link Deco App Version 3.0: Here’s What’s New

As mentioned earlier, the latest version of the Deco app gets a redesigned interface that is modern and easy to use. As detailed by the company, the new app will let users easily monitor their network at a glance by providing access to detailed network analytics. Once you install the update, the main screen of the app will show an overview of your internet connection with details about data usage and connected devices.

Furthermore, it allows you to quickly access router settings, enable Guest Network, and even share your Wi-Fi password with others by generating a QR Code. Currently, the Deco app allows users to see a list of all devices connected to the network. With the latest update, it automatically assigns icons based on the category of the device such as a smartphone or tablet. Users can tap on a device in the list to see details such as its MAC address, IP, data usage, as well as an option to prioritize data for that device.

Additionally, the Deco app 3.0 comes with new Parental Controls, which allows adults to select specific devices to restrict certain websites available on that network. They can also choose to set a bed time or time limits for browsing the web for their kids. You can download the new Deco app via the App Store. In case you already have the app installed on your device, you can simply update it to the latest version 3.0.
