The firm adds that its offerings are “ideal for Time Machine backups and iTunes libraries. More space can be saved from the internal drive to allow 3D rendering, graphic design, or software development”.
The device is manufactured via COB (chip-on-board) technology. Transcend claims that it is resistant to water, dust, and shock. It comes with RecoveRx, a free download software tool, that makes it easy to recover files that were accidentally deleted. Additionally, the JetDrive Lite 330 expansion card is covered by a five-year warranty.
Besides the MacBook Pro 2021, the JetDrive Lite 330 is also compatible with the 13-inch MacBook Pro (Retina).
