Former luxury sub-brand of Nokia, VERTU has launched a new lineup of smartphones focused on Web3 applications. Called METAVERTU, the smartphones launched at an event in London. These are the first Web3 smartphones to come with up to 18GB memory and up to 10TB of storage. The smartphone aims to create an equal data rights ecosystem open to diverse demographics.

As we mentioned, it comes with a whopping 18GB RAM coupled with 1TB storage. Furthermore, it relies on a distributed storage system to deliver 10TB of storage on the smartphone.
The metaverse-focused smartphone features a Sony IMX787 35mm main camera with optical telephoto lens, along with two other cameras in a triple-camera system. It sports a 4,600mAh battery that reportedly tops up in 20 minutes with fast charging.
Being a Web3 focused smartphone, the VERTU METAVERTU comes with a built-in A5 security chip with SE+TEE technology, that offers anti intrusion sensors and other security features championed by top financial institutions. Furthermore, there’s a switch to migrate seamlessly from web 2.0 to web 3.0 operating systems. In the latter, the METAVERTU has a copyright camera to generate NFTs and other applications.
VERTU METAVERTU: Price And Availability
The METAVERTU will be available for purchase from November 3, 2022. The company is offering six variants to choose from with different designs. The entry level model with a carbon fiber body is priced at RMB 25,000 (roughly ₹2,83,000), while the flagship crocodile leather variant can cost up to RMB 300,000 (roughly ₹34 lakh). The smartphone will also be available for global markets via Tmall, and can be picked up from its official website in China.
