Amid mounting pressure from fellow telecom operators, Vodafone Idea (Vi) announced two new recharge plans with 30 days and 21 days validity. These are priced at ₹327 and ₹337 respectively. The move comes in response to TRAI’s recent decision requiring telecom service providers to offer at least one 30-day plan and a monthly renewal plan that is renewed on the same date each month. Just recently, Airtel had announced a ₹296 prepaid plan with 30 days validity offering 25GB data, free calling, and 100 SMS per day.

It offers 25GB of 4G high-speed data, along with unlimited voice calls. Apart from this, during the duration of this recharge, users also get 100 SMS per day—for both local and STD messages. After crossing the daily SMS limit, users will be charged the standard SMS rates for local and STD. Coming to the OTT services, the plan only offers a complimentary subscription to Vi Movies and TV apps.
Vi ₹337 Plan
Vi’s ₹337 recharge plan comes with 31 days of validity. The pack offers 28GB of 4G high-speed data and unlimited voice calls. Along with this, users get 100 SMS per day throughout the plan period. After surpassing the limit for daily SMS, users will be charged the standard SMS rates for local and STD. Additionally, the plan offers a free complimentary subscription to Vi Movies and TV app.
Compared to other telcos, Vi is slightly ahead of the curve with the 31 days validity plans that neither Airtel nor Jio are offering at the moment. That being said, Vi is charging the most for the amount of data and service being offered in the ₹327 plan compared to Airtel’s ₹296 and Jio’s ₹296 recharge plans.
