Vivo has now confirmed via Twitter that the Vivo T1 Pro 5G and Vivo T1 44W smartphones will be launching soon in India. A couple of days back, we brought you an exclusive report revealing the Chinese company’s plans to bring the Vivo T1 Pro to India. Vivo is well known as a camera-centric brand, but its ‘T’ series of smartphones adopts a different approach altogether. Both the Vivo T1 Pro 5G and Vivo T1 will prioritise performance over cameras and will pack in AMOLED displays, high screen refresh rates, Snapdragon processors, and fast-charging tech, at affordable prices.

It will come with polycarbonate construction. The Vivo T1 Pro is expected to feature a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz screen refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and HDR10+ support. The display can reach a peak brightness of 1300 nits, which would be perfect for viewing under harsh sunlight. The only concern here is that it may come with a waterdrop style notch on the display, which would be a disaster in 2022.
The Vivo T1 Pro is sure to excite gamers on a budget as it is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 778G processor. It is a very potent mid-range chipset and can handle PUBG/BGMI and Call of Duty games at 60 fps without breaking a sweat. The handset could come with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage options.
In terms of camera, the Vivo T1 Pro 5G may come equipped with a triple-camera setup on the rear, comprising a 64MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a macro sensor. For selfie addicts, there will be a 16MP front-facing camera.
Some notable features include stereo speakers, a dedicated gaming mode, vapour chamber liquid cooling tech, and FuntouchOS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box. The handset may pack in a 5,000mAh battery coupled with 66W fast charging support.
Vivo T1 44W: Features, Specifications
The Vivo T1 44W will be a watered-down version of the already available Vivo T1 5G in India. It will boast of identical exteriors, while the major change will be in its internals. The handset is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 680 4G processor as opposed to the Snapdragon 695 5G SoC of the Vivo T1 5G model.
The smartphone may come with an AMOLED display with a 90Hz screen refresh rate. Like the Vivo T1 5G, the Vivo T1 44W may also come with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. It may inherit the 5-layer cooling mechanism from the Vivo T1 5G.
The Vivo T1 44W will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery under its hood, which as its name suggests will get a 44-watt fast charging tech.
Both the handsets will be priced between ₹15000 and ₹25,000 in India. Expect Vivo to launch them in early May 2022.
