The Vivo X Fold+ has been launched in China and arrives with a new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It also gets a battery upgrade over its predecessor, with a 4,730mAh battery unit. There’s a new red colourway available as well, apart from the original black and blue models.

The LTPO display is made of UTG (ultra-thin glass) and supports variable refresh rates of 1-120Hz. On the outside, it features a 6.53-inch cover display with an aspect ratio of 21:9. Furthermore, both screens include ultrasonic fingerprint readers. As for the foldable aspect, the device features a hinge that can support multiple angles.
The Vivo X Fold+ comes with a battery that has a capacity of 4,730mAh. It now supports wired charging up to 80W. The company claims that the phone can be charged to 70 percent in merely 18 minutes. The smartphone is reported to take 35 minutes to be fully charged. Furthermore, the handset supports wireless charging up to 50W.
The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Furthermore, it supports 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. As for connectivity, it supports 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.2 LE, GPS (L1 + L5 Dual band), NFC, and USB 3.1 Type-C. The handset comes with OriginOS Ocean based on Android 12 out of the box.
When it comes to imaging, the smartphone features a 50MP primary camera with a 1/1.57” GN5 sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide angle lens and two telephoto lenses. One is a 12MP portrait camera and the other is an 8MP periscope camera with OIS, 5x magnification, and up to 60x digital zoom. Additionally, it comes with a 16MP front camera for selfies.
Vivo X Fold+ Price And Availability
The Vivo X Fold+ can now be pre-ordered in China. The handset will later be available for sale on September 29. The base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage costs CNY 10,000 (around ₹1,14,000). Meanwhile, the 12GB/512GB model is priced at CNY 11,000 (around ₹1,25,520).
The smartphone is available in a new colourway called Huaxia Red with a faux leather cover. It is also available in Mountain Blue and black colours.
