Vivo has silently launched a new Y-series smartphone—Vivo Y12G—in India. This new smartphone is a rebranded version of the Vivo Y12s that was launched in Vietnam in May 2021. The Vivo Y12G has a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 13MP dual-camera setup, an 8MP selfie camera. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor and is powered by a 5000mAh battery. Its charging speed is painfully slow, though, at just 5W.

The Vivo Y12G is a rebranded Vivo Y12s, which means that it possesses the same internals. The device sports a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution (1,600xx 720 pixels) and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the Vivo Y12G is equipped with the Snapdragon 439 SoC (System on Chip). The device ships with 3GB of RAM and packs 32GB of internal storage. The Vivo Y12G also has a microSD card slot, which allows the phone to have additional (up to 512GB).
The Vivo Y12G features a dual-camera setup that consists of a 13MP primary main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone has an 8MP selfie camera as well. As for the software, the handset runs Android 11-based FuntouchOS 11 out of the box. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery but it supports only 5W charging, which means that it could take up to 3 hours to charge the device.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microUSB 2.0 port. The device also comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that is embedded in a power button. The Vivo Y12G measures 164.41 x 76.32 x 8.41mm and weighs 191g.
