Vivo has launched a new Y-series smartphone, the Vivo Y30 5G. This new smartphone has been unveiled by the company in the Thailand market and it is likely to arrive soon in India. However, as of now, the brand hasn’t confirmed the Vivo Y30 5G India launch date yet. When it comes to the specifications, the Y30 5G is a mid-range 5G device by Vivo that comes with a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display. The device ships with a Dimensity 700 SoC, 6GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of internal storage. It packs a 5,000mAh battery which supports 10W charging.

The Vivo Y30 5G is priced at THB 8,699 (roughly ₹18,950) in Thailand. The device comes in a single 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration. The handset is available for purchase in Starlight Black and Rainbow Fantasy colorways.

The Vivo Y30 5G comes with a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. The display panel has a 20:9 aspect ratio, 89% screen-to-body ratio, and a water-drop-shaped notch that houses the selfie camera. For security purpose, this new Y-series handset has a face unlock and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the software side of things, the Vivo Y30 5G runs Android 12 out of the box with FuntouchOS 12 on top.

As for imaging, the device features a dual-camera setup which includes a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP macro camera. The smartphone features an 8MP camera which for selfies and video calls. Under the hood, the Y30 5G is powered by a Dimensity 700 processor which is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone has 2GB of Virtual RAM support and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The whole package draws power from a 5,000mAh battery which supports 10W charging via a USB Type-C port. Connectivity-wise, the device has features such as a dual-SIM card slot, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, OTG support, FM Radio, and Bluetooth v5.1. The handset measures 8.25mm in terms of thickness and weighs around 193 grams.
