Vivo has launched yet another budget-friendly smartphone in India, this time, in its Y-series: Vivo Y33s. The launch of the Vivo Y33s comes right after the company had introduced the Vivo Y21 in India a few days ago. The newly-launched Vivo Y33s features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display that has Full HD+ resolution. The phone comes powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor and features a 50MP triple-camera setup. The Vivo Y33s packs 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The device also has 4GB of ‘Virtual RAM’ that the company claims to offer better multitasking, but it is memory paging that has been present in computers, phones, tablets for a long time.

The Vivo Y33s features a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display that has Full HD+ (2,408 x 1,080 pixels) resolution. The display panel has a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The device runs Android 11 out of the box and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 processor. The phone packs up to 8GB of RAM and ships with 128G of onboard storage. As mentioned above, the device also has 4GB of ‘Virtual RAM’ for better multitasking. Instead, Virtual RAM is just a fancy term for memory paging, a feature that has been on computers and phones for more than a few decades. The device also has microSD card support for further storage expansion.
The optics department of the Y33s is handled by a triple-camera setup. The rear-facing camera module includes a 50MP primary sensor with an F1.8 lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Both the 2MP macro and depth camera units have an F2.4 aperture. The phone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and also has face unlock as well.
For selfies and video-calling, the phone features a 16MP camera that has an F2.0 aperture. The Vivo Y33s packs a 5,000mAh battery that has 18W fast charging support. Connectivity options the device offer include a dual-SIM card slot, dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C port. In terms of dimensions, the Vivo Y33s measures 164.26 x 76.08 x 8mm and weighs 182 grammes.
