Vivo Y53s Features, Specifications
The Vivo Y53s has a water-drop notch display, with the notch housing a 16MP selfie camera. The device features a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display that has Full HD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels). The display panel has a standard 60Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device comes equipped with a MediaTek Helio G80 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. It has a microSD card slot for storage space expansion (up to an additional 512GB).
Similar to the other recent Vivo smartphones, the Vivo Y53s also has 3GB ‘Virtual RAM’, which is a laughable marketing term that’s being thrown around by Chinese smartphone brands these days. Virtual RAM is nothing but a paging system that has been a part of PCs for years.
The Vivo Y53s has a triple-camera setup that consists of a 64MP primary main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. As mentioned above, the handset sports a 16MP selfie camera with an F2.0 aperture. Connectivity features of the device include a dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v.5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
The smartphone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The phone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. As for the software, the Vivo Y53s runs Android 11 out of the box with the company’s FuntouchOS 11.1 skin on top. The company hasn’t revealed its software update terms for the Vivo Y53s, though, which means that it may or may not receive two major Android OS updates, which should be the bare minimum for any Android smartphone.
