Vivo had launched the Vivo Y72 5G smartphone in India back in July. The device was introduced in India in a single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration. The handset was priced at ₹20,990 in India when it first launched. Now, in a recent development, the Vivo Y72 5G price in India is reduced by ₹1,000, reports Mahesh Telecom. As per the revised pricing, the Vivo Y72 5G can be purchased in India for ₹19,990.

The Vivo Y72 5G features a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display that has Full HD+ 2408×1080 pixel resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display panel has a waterdrop notch which includes the front selfie camera. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 480 processor. The handset packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone boots Android 11 out of the box with Vivo’s FuntochOS 11.1 on top. The handset also has a 4GB Virtual RAM feature for better multitasking.

In terms of imaging, the Y72 5G features a dual-camera setup, which consists of a 48MP main camera and a 2MP secondary lens. The 48MP main sensor has an f/1.79 aperture, whereas the 2MP secondary lens has an f/1.8 aperture. The rear-facing camera offers features such as Portrait mode, Night mode, Panorama, Live Photo, Pro mode, Time-Lapse video recording, Slow-Motion video recording, and more. At the front side, the device sports an 8MP camera that has an f/1.8 aperture. The handset draws power from a 5,000mAh battery that has 18W fast charging support.
Connectivity-wise, the Vivo Y72 5G has features such as a dual-SIM card slot, 4G VoLTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS with A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. The device measures 164.15 × 75.35 × 8.40mm and weighs 185.5grams. The Vivo Y72 5G can be purchased in India in two color variants—Prism Magic and Slate Gray.
