Vivo Y77 5G With 6.58-inch Display, Dimensity 810 SoC Goes Official

Vivo has launched the new Y-series smartphone, dubbed the Vivo Y77 5G in the Chinese market. This new offering from Vivo is equipped with an octa-core Dimensity 810 processor. The device features a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The handset has a water-drop-shaped notch at the front which houses the selfie camera. The smartphone runs Android 12 OS and is equipped with 8GB of RAM. It packs a 5,000mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging.

Vivo Y77 5G Pricing

The Vivo Y77 5G pricing isn’t announced yet. However, rumours suggest that the device might retail for around CNY 1,300 in China (₹15,400). The handset comes in two colour options—Glowing Galaxy and Starlight Black. The device is also expected to go official in Malaysia soon, and it will be available for purchase via Shopee and Lazada websites. We can also expect the smartphone to launch in the Indian market in the upcoming few weeks.

Vivo Y77 5G Specifications, Features

The Vivo Y77 5G features a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ 2,408 x 1,080 pixels resolution. The device has a standard 60Hz refresh rate and a water-drop-shaped notch for the selfie camera. The smartphone runs Android 12 out of the box with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 12 UI on top. An octa-core Dimensity 810 processor powers the device. The System on Chip consists of up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone also has 4GB of Virtual RAM support and a microSD card slot for storage expansion beyond 256GB.

The back of the phone consists of a dual-camera setup comprising a 50MP main camera and a 2MP macro lens. The front of the smartphone is fitted with a 16MP camera which assists in capturing selfies and making video calls. The latest Y-series smartphone has a fingerprint sensor and face unlock support for security. Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. The device measures 8.25mm in terms of thickness and weighs 194 grams.
