WhatsApp Status Update To Get Better Design For Sharing Links

WhatsApp just released a huge upgrade that enabled Message Reactions and 2GB File Sharing on the platform for Android users. According to a new report, WhatsApp is working on a feature that will generate rich previews when sending a link as a text status update.

When adding a link to text status updates on WhatsApp beta for Android, the preview is not rich and detailed. WABetaInfo has shared a screenshot which demonstrates the differences between the present text status update and the new one which is in the works.

According to the report, the screenshot was acquired from the WhatsApp beta for iOS. However, the feature appears to be in the works for both iOS and Android platforms, with limited testing in progress for the two versions.

In addition, the company is believed to be working on quick reactions for status updates and showing status updates in the chat list, Companion Mode to link a second mobile device, and search filter choices for Android, iOS, and Desktop.
