After a series of leaks and rumours, Xiaomi has finally revealed the launch date of the Xiaomi 12S lineup of devices. The Xiaomi 12S, which consists of the Xiaomi 12S, the Xiaomi 12S Pro, and the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, will launch in China on July 4th, 2022. Though the brand has not said anything about the global launch of the Xiaomi 12S so far, we certainly expect the same to happen soon. In any case, we will get to know each and everything about the upcoming Xiaomi 12S lineup of smartphones.
Let’s take a look at the Xiaomi 12S series and find out what the devices might have in store for us.
Xiaomi 12S Series Launching On July 4th In China
Xiaomi took to the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo to reveal the launch date of the Xiaomi 12S series. As seen in the promotional poster above, the Xiaomi 12S lineup will launch in China on July 4th, 2022. The promotional poster also gives us the first look of all three devices in the lineup.
Upon closer inspection, we can see that the Xiaomi 12S series smartphones will feature a relatively smaller power button when compared with several Xiaomi smartphones launched in the past. What it could necessarily mean is that the Xiaomi 12S will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.

While the vanilla Xiaomi 12S will be a compact flagship device, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra will be a feature-rich top-of-the-line smartphone. All three devices in the Xiaomi 12S lineup will come with Leica branding, which means that we can expect impressive photography and videography with the Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12S Pro, and Xiaomi 12S Ultra smartphones. All three devices are expected to come with the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
As for the rest of the specifications, the Xiaomi 12S is said to sport a 6.81-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED panel. The device will likely come with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. In terms of cameras, the device will reportedly feature a 50MP + 16MP + 5MP triple rear camera setup. Lastly, the Xiaomi 12S is tipped to come with a 4,500mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging.
