Xiaomi 12T, 12T Pro Will Get Three Android OS Updates And Four Years Of Security Updates

The Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro were announced earlier this week. The smartphones run Android 12 with MIUI 13 out of the box. According to the latest report, the devices will get Android 13 soon. In all, they are set to receive three Android OS updates. Furthermore, they will also receive four years of security updates.

This means that the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro will receive three major Android OS updates, with Android 15 as the final software version. Additionally, the smartphones are set to receive four years of security patches following the launch.

The Xiaomi 12T Pro arrives as the company’s first smartphone with a 200MP camera. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, accompanied by 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. It will also be available in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB storage variants. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 12T comes with a Dimensity 8100-Ultra chipset. While the camera isn’t as impressive as the Pro version, the 12T features a 108MP camera.

Xiaomi is offering one free screen repair for six months after purchasing the Xiaomi 12T series. The company is also providing one out-of-warranty repair for free within the first 12 months of purchase.
