Xiaomi will unveil their newest fitness band, the Mi Band 7 in the Chinese market on May 24. The band will be available alongside the Redmi 11T series which have been teased for a long time now. The Mi Band series has been a global bestseller for the brand, with the company selling over 5 million units so far.
Xiaomi has posted a slew of teasers for Band 7, and it appears that the band will be available in a variety of colour options. The Mi Band 7 is expected to retain the classic pill-shaped appearance of its predecessors. Additionally, it will come with a 1.62-inch AMOLED screen, up from the 1.56-inch size of the outgoing Mi Band 6.
The increased screen real estate will allow the brand to release more intuitive watch bands. It will be fascinating to observe how the larger screen affects the device’s overall form factor. We may also see an NFC version of the band, which will be sold in other countries. The Band 7 is also likely to include a slightly bigger 300mAh battery and support for 24/7 heart rate monitoring, SpO2 monitoring, sleep tracking, stress detection, and GPS for improved outside tracking.
