Just a day after the launch of the Redmi Note 12 series that also saw a new Redmi TV, Xiaomi has announced a new 70-inch 4K TV with a host of premium features. The TV, launched in China, features support for a wide colour gamut, a new backlight technology, and a faster processor.
Xiaomi Mi TV ES70: Specifications And Features
The Xiaomi Mi TV ES70 comes with a 70-inch display with 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a 97.8% screen to body ratio. The TV has a 94% wide DCI-P3 colour coverage, supporting 1.07 billion colours in the display.
The TV is powered by the MediaTek MT9638 A55 quad core processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. It also supports MEMC technology that inserts extra frames in movies and games to make it appear smoother.

The TV includes a super resolution system that analyses pictures in real time and reduces noise as well as upscales the quality from low resolution pictures to 4K quality.
The Mi TV ES70 supports dual band Wi-Fi and has Dolby and DTS Digital decoding. For audio, the TV uses two 12.5W high-power speakers with dual air duct design. There are far field microphones for voice control using the XiaoAI voice assistant.
The TV can also be connected to Mi Home and is compatible with Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac for screen projection. For I/O, the Mi TV ES70 comes with three HDMI ports, two USB ports, AV input and a network port along with an antenna interface.

The Mi TV ES70 with a 70-inch screen and 4K resolution is priced at RMB 4,499 (roughly ₹51,000) and is available for purchase in China at Mi Stores and Mi.com.
