Redmi and POCO, two of Xiaomi’s sub-brands, account for the majority of the company’s income. Furthermore, a recent rumour suggests that the company may be preparing to launch a completely new line of devices or a sub-brand geared solely at tech fans. The alleged report asserts that devices in this series would most likely run vanilla Android, which is even more ludicrous.
According to sources cited by The Mobile Indian, Xiaomi intends to release additional sub-brands or perhaps a new series into the open market. The publication states that the new sub-brand or series will target the community of tech enthusiasts. Smartphones launching under this alleged sub-brand or series will be powered by the Qualcomm 700 series processors, and they will run stock Android with few changes.

These handsets are said to be priced between ₹15,000 and ₹25,000. This price range happens to be quite competitive right now in the Indian market with majority of Redmi’s and POCO’s bestsellers lying in the same range.
According to the publication, the Snapdragon 765 SoC will power the more affordable handsets under the new sub-brand or series, while the Snapdragon 778 SoC will power the more expensive ones. With this line, Xiaomi appears to be going for consumers who want to switch to OnePlus or Pixel smartphones but are afraid to spend the extra money.
