Xiaomi Portable Electric Air Compressor 1S Launched In India: Specifications, Price

The Xiaomi Portable Electric Air Compressor 1S is a successor to the Mi Portable Electric Compressor launched back in 2020. Just like its predecessor—the Xiaomi Portable Electric Compressor—this one too comes with an inbuilt rechargeable battery. This saves you from the hassle of searching for a 12-volt socket to power it. Considering that most two-wheelers don’t come with a 12-volt power outlet, this air compressor fits the bill perfectly.

The Xiaomi Portable Electric Air Compressor 1S comes in a stealthy looking matte black shade with a design that might remind you of an iPod. There’s an OLED display that shows you the air pressure output and certain function buttons below the display. 

The tyre inflator comes with an air pressure support of up to 150psi. Xiaomi says the new version has a 114 percent improved airflow rate over the previous model. It has the ability to deliver 15 litres of airflow in a minute as opposed to the seven litres per minute airflow rate of its predecessor. 

Furthermore, Xiaomi claims that its new Portable Electric Air Compressor 1S comes with a 45.4 percent higher inflation performance. The capacity has increased and it can now inflate tyres up to eight times now. For reference, the Mi Portable Electric Compressor could only inflate tyres up to 5.5 times. 

The tyre inflator boasts of five inflation modes, namely Manual Mode, Car Mode, Motorcycle Mode, Bicycle Mode, and Ball Mode. It also protects your tyres from over inflation. Another nifty feature called Pressure Maintenance Mode lets you spray foam or water using a PA pot, which is an optional accessory, to wash your vehicles. 

That’s not all, it comes with a built-in LED light with an SOS flashing feature, Needle Valve adapter, Presta Valve adapter, and a storage bag. The electric air compressor is powered by a 14.8Wh Li-ion battery and can be charged via the USB Type-C port. When it comes to dimensions, it measures 124x71x45.3mm and weighs 480 grams.

The Xiaomi Portable Electric Air Compressor 1S comes with a price tag of ₹4,499 in India. Currently, the brand is selling it at an introductory price of ₹2,799. The prices have certainly gone up as the original Mi Portable Electric Air Compressor was launched at ₹2,299. You can purchase the device via Mi.com. It comes in a sole black colour option.
