Xiaomi Redmi A1 Plus With 6.56-inch HD+ Display, Helio A22 Processor Launched

Xiaomi launched the Redmi A1 smartphone in the Indian market last month. Today, the brand has introduced the Xiaomi Redmi A1 Plus smartphone. The device is being introduced in Kenya and it is available for sale via the e-commerce portal Jumia. When it comes to the specifications, the Redmi A1 Plus is an entry-level smartphone that comes powered by a Helio A22 processor. The handset features a 6.52-inch HD+ display and packs 2GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage. The device has a fingerprint sensor on the rear and an 8MP camera.

The Xiaomi Redmi A1 Plus is priced at KSh 10,345 (roughly ₹7,100) in Kenya. The device comes in Light Blue and Black colour options. The device is available for purchase in Kenya via the Jumia website. As of now, Xiaomi has not shared any details regarding the phone’s global availability.

The Xiaomi Redmi A1 Plus flaunts a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display that has HD+ resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The smartphone’s display panel has a 269PPI pixel density and an 81.4% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the A1 Plus is powered by MediaTek’s octa-core Helio A22 processor. The device packs 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

The smartphone runs Android 12 out of the box with MIUI 12 on top. In terms of imaging, the device features a dual-camera setup. The smartphone flaunts an 8MP main camera and a 0.3MP depth camera. On the front side, the device comes with a 5MP camera. The handset features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

The whole package draws power from a 5,000mAh battery. As for connectivity, this entry-level device offers features such as a dual-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, and 4G VoLTE.
