Redmi has finally launched its first tablet in India—the Redmi Pad. The tablet sports a 10.61-inch LCD display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. Furthermore, it comes equipped with a quad-speaker setup along with Dolby Atmos support.

Redmi Pad: Price In India And Availability

The 3GB + 64GB variant of the Redmi tablet costs ₹14,999. Meanwhile, the 4GB + 128GB model is priced at ₹17,999 and the 6GB + 128GB model costs ₹19,999. Redmi is offering the aforementioned models at discounted prices of ₹12,999, ₹14,999, and ₹16,999 respectively, as part of an introductory offer.

You can purchase the Redmi Pad via Mi.com, Mi Home, Flipkart, and various retail outlets from October 5, 2022 at 12 PM IST. The tablet is available in Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green colourways. Do note that the 6GB + 128GB Mint Green variant can only be purchased via Mi.com. As for offers, users can avail a 10 percent discount via Bank of Baroda from mi.com. This offer is valid only from October 5, 2022 to October 9, 2022.

Redmi Pad: Specifications And Features

The Redmi Pad features a 10.61-inch 10-bit LCD display with 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. Additionally, it is said to cover 70 percent of the NTSC colour gamut. The display has a peak brightness of 400nits. It comes with in-built SGS eye protection and is TUV Rheinland certified.

The tablet features the MediaTek Helio G99 processor along with the ARM Mali G57 MC2. The device comes in 3GB/4GB/6GB options with LPDDR4x RAM. It supports 64GB/128GB UFS 2.1 storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card.

When it comes to imaging, the Redmi Pad sports an 8MP rear camera that is capable of recording videos in FHD resolution. At the front, it comes with an 8MP camera with FocusFrame support for video chats.

As for the OS, the Redmi Pad runs on Android 12 with MIUI 13 for Pad out of the box. The table is set to receive two Android and MIUI updates as well as three years of security updates.

The Redmi Pad measures 250.5 × 158.1 × 7.1mm and weighs 465 grams. Connectivity options for the device include support for Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C port. Additionally, it features a quad-speaker setup, along with support for Dolby Atmos. The device packs an 8,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. As an added perk, Redmi is offering a free YouTube Premium subscription for two months.
