After Google’s recent efforts to bring some design elements of Wear OS 3 to its old watches and deliver the latest updates to the new devices, the YouTube Music app is now confirmed to add the ability to stream songs to Wear OS watches, including the Galaxy Watch 4. With this update, Google is all set to overcome what was known to be the only limitation of the YouTube Music app on Wear OS.
YouTube Music Streaming for Wear OS
YouTube Music replaced the Google Play Music app on Wear OS to give the best-ever music experience to its users. However, there remained a limitation in terms of streaming the music directly from other music platforms. Before you start enjoying your new favourite track, you must download it to the YouTube Music app on Wear OS. Frustrating, isn’t it? Well, it won’t be frustrating anymore, with music streaming support coming to Wear OS.

Samsung has confirmed that the YouTube Music app for Wear OS will be able to stream music in a “future update”. While there is no confirmation of the timeline, the feature is on its way to be used on the Galaxy Watch 4.
Coming soon through an additional update, users will be able to stream music over Wi-Fi or LTE from the YouTube Music app on their Galaxy Watch4. This means that users can leave their phone behind and still enjoy their favorite artists as they work out on-the-go.
Presumably, the feature will come to other Wear OS smartwatches alongside the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. What do you think of this new feature to stream YouTube music on Wear OS? Let us know in the comments section below.
