Airtel has cut down the validity of Amazon Prime membership which was available to subscribers of postpaid plans from one year to six months. The telco offers Prime membership for free to customers purchasing the ₹499, ₹999, ₹1,199, or ₹1,599 Airtel postpaid plans. Although Airtel also offers Amazon Prime with some of its broadband plans, their validity will remain unchanged.
Airtel said that the revision came into effect from April 1, as reported by Gadgets 360. Users who have opted for the plan before April 1 will continue to enjoy Prime membership for a whole year, while other will have a membership validity of only six months.

According to a report by TelecomTalk, other benefits enjoyed by Airtel postpaid subscribers will be unaffected. The publication adds that the validity of the Amazon Prime membership has been revised due to the change in Amazon OTT pricing. You can expect other telecom operators to follow suit and revise their own membership offers soon.
Airtel Postpaid Plans Benefits
Airtel offers five postpaid plans, out of which four come with free Amazon Prime Video membership. These four plans are available for ₹499, ₹999, ₹1199, and ₹1599. Additionally, all of these plans also offer a one-year subscription of Disney+ Hotstar, amongst other OTT benefits.

Back in December, Amazon Prime membership saw a price hike of up to 50 percent. The membership can now be purchased for ₹ 179 a month, ₹459 for three months, or ₹1,499 for a year.
