Since QLED TVs don’t experience burn-in when left displaying a single image for long, Amazon used the QLED technology to launch its first large-screen Fire TV with Echo Show-like capabilities, alongside a slew of other devices at its annual hardware event on Wednesday.
The Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED series comes in two sizes and features all the top of the line audio and feature certifications needed for a stellar viewing experience. There are also sensors inbuilt that makes it more aware of its surroundings and become smarter than an average smart TV. The TV essentially offers a larger viewing experience over its much smaller Echo Show 15, which comes with similar environmental awareness features.
Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED Series: Specifications And Features
The Fire TV Omni QLED series comes in two sizes – 65 inches and 75 inches, both with 4K resolution. It supports Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ adaptive. Amazon claims 96 dimming zones and built-in Alexa.

Amazon leverages this advantage through an ambient mode. When you enter the living room, the TV lights up automatically on detecting your presence. It then starts showing slideshows of 1500 gallery quality photos and curated art pieces, or your personal collection. Once it detects you are not in the room, the TV will automatically turn off.
Then there’s the usual Fire TV features with a host of streaming apps to choose from for watching videos, listening to podcasts, catching up on TV shows and watching the latest blockbusters.
Aside from that, there’s also Echo-Show like features including support for Alexa widgets that was showcased in the Echo Show 15, including calendar, reminders, sticky notes, smart home controls, news headlines, and more. You can also monitor your home security cameras on it. However, this isn’t a touchscreen, so you’ll have to use the Alexa remote instead, probably making it slightly cumbersome to navigate.
Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED Price And Availability
The Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED series starts at $799 (roughly ₹65,000) for the 65 inches and $1,099 (roughly ₹89,500) for the 75 inch variant. The availability details will be announced at a later date.
