Amazon Prime Video has been updated to adopt an Apple TV app-like interface, which now includes a new carousel feature and sports tab. The redesigned app will help users to easily navigate and access content on the Prime Video streaming service. Apple TV users, alongside Amazon Fire TV and Android app users will get the new app as a free update later this week. However, the redesigned Amazon Prime Video app for iOS and iPad platforms will arrive later this year.
Redesigned Amazon Prime Video App For Apple TV : Here’s How It Will Look
With the latest update, the Amazon Prime Video app gets a more user-friendly navigation menu, which is now located on the left side of the screen for easy access. Upon clicking, it will launch with the following six primary pages:
- Live TV
- Free with Ads
- My Stuff
Furthermore, users also get sub-navigation options to browse content, such as Movies, TV Shows, or Sports on Amazon Prime Video streaming service. The new Live TV page will further make it easier for you to find various streaming stations, including live sports and events.

Next comes the new carousel feature, which lets you quickly find content to stream. It displays the content in the form of a “Top 10 Chart” for quick access. The feature also presents videos with richer and more cinematic imagery. Additionally, the new Amazon Prime Video interface makes it easy for viewers to tell what content is included with their Prime membership versus what is available to purchase. Notably, this has been a shortcoming with the existing app version.
Lastly, the updated Amazon Prime Video app has an immersive visual and a new find page, which simplifies the search experience for users. You can now easily search for a specific title or explore different genres and collections via the new app interface.
