Back in May, AMD’s CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, presented the company’s next-generation Ryzen processors during the AMD Keynote at Computex 2022. The Ryzen 7000 series, which will succeed the Ryzen 5000 series, will be manufactured on TSMC’s 5nm process. Now, it is reported that the Ryzen 7000 will be announced on August 29, 2022, which will be followed by a launch on September 15.

The event will showcase the specs and pricing of the Ryzen 7000 series of desktop GPUs. The announcement is scheduled for August 29 at 8:00PM ET. The press embargo on the product will be lifted on September 13. The retail launch will follow two days later, on September 15.

It is speculated that the following four SKUs will be on offer—the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, and AMD Ryzen 5 7600X. The AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU series will be the first to employ AMD’s new AM5 architecture. This architecture brings features such as DDR5, PCIe 5.0, and improved processor TDPs. The AM5 architecture can support up to 24 PCIe 5.0 lanes, which makes the Ryzen 7000 series AMD’s fastest desktop processor.
