Apple has rolled out macOS Monterey 12.5.1, alongside iOS 15.6.1 and iPadOS 15.6.1. The latest macOS Monterey update arrives a month after macOS Monterey 12.5 was released. macOS Monterey 12.5.1 brings with it a few fixes for a couple of major bugs.
Apple macOS Monterey 12.5.1 Update: Changelog
Apple recommends users to get the newest update for improved security. The Cupertino-based company states that macOS Monterey 12.5.1 addresses issues with the WebKit and Kernel.
The kernel bug exploits a security vulnerability which allows apps to execute code with kernel privileges. Meanwhile, the WebKit bug processes malicious web content which could execute arbitrary code. Apple states that both issues may have been “actively exploited.”
