Apple discussed various elements of its products during their WWDC 2022 Keynote, including upgrades to iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, and more. HDR10+ video will soon be available to stream on your iPad, MacBook, Apple TV, and iPhone.

The iPhone maker said that HDR10+, which is “the latest generation of high dynamic range technology is now supported in the Apple TV app”.
The statement is a little odd because it refers to the Apple TV app rather than the Apple TV, the company’s streaming player that supports most codecs natively. Apple TV is the company’s content aggregation app, which collects content from all major OTT providers such as Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video. Apple TV+, the company’s own OTT platform for hosting Apple Original content, is also included in this.
The Cupertino-based company confirmed to FlatpanelsHD that HDR10+ will be supported in the Apple TV app on iOS 16, iPadOS 16, and macOS Ventura. However, there is no word on tvOS 16 yet (a list of features has not been released) or other TV platforms where the Apple TV app is available, such as Android TV, Google TV, and Samsung Tizen.
