Apple has started rolling out the seventh beta update for the tvOS 16 to developers for testing. The stable update for the latest Apple TV operating system will be released in September this year. Once released, the tvOS 16 is said to bring along a host of exciting features and improvements for Apple TV app users. Let us take a look at the details of the tvOS 16 beta 7 update.

tvOS 16 Beta 7 Update Details
According to a 9To5Mac report, the latest tvOS 16 beta 7 is currently being rolled out to developers with the build number 20J5371a. Developers can download the testing version of the tvOS 16 through Xcode. Here’s what the tvOS 16 beta 7 offers:
- Nintendo Switch controllers compatibility: tvOS 16 will finally support Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Cons and Pro Controller. According to Apple, “many additional Bluetooth and USB game controllers are supported by the Game Controller” starting with tvOS 16.
- HDR10+ support: The latest generation of high dynamic range technology will be supported in the Apple TV app on tvOS 16.
- Video-forward featuring on the Apple TV+ tab: Rich video previews at the top of the Apple TV+ tab will help users discover their next favourite Apple Original.
- Apple Fitness+: With tvOS 16, at key moments in the workout, Intensity Metrics are called out and will appear on the screen for motivation. The intensities are Easy, Moderate, Hard, and All Out.
Meanwhile, HomePod Software 16 is also available for public beta testing. Alongside tvOS 16 beta 7, Apple is also rolling out the iOS 16 beta 7, iPadOS 16 beta 7, and watchOS 9 beta 7 updates.
