Apple’s “Far out” event is scheduled for September 7, 2022. According to rumours, we can expect the company to unveil the new iPhone 14 series, next-gen iPads, as well as the Watch 8 series. A new report suggests that the upcoming Apple Watch Pro will arrive with a 47mm flat display.
Tipster ShrimpApplePro had claimed that the next-gen Apple Watch will sport a flat glass panel. Japanese website Mac Otakara cites a “trusted source in China,” reiterating that the upcoming Apple Watch will feature a flat display. The outlet adds that the screen will be 47mm in size.

Meanwhile, past rumours suggested that the upcoming Apple Watch will arrive with a 1.99-inch screen. Similar to the current Apple Watch 7, the standard Apple Watch Series 8 will likely arrive in 41mm and 45mm models with curved displays.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in his Power On newsletter, reiterates that the new rugged Apple Watch model will arrive with satellite features. He adds that the company has internally discussed adding the functionality to its watches.

The new Apple Watch Pro will see a revamped design, with a rectangular dial instead of a circular face. Additionally, the device is believed to have a longer battery life. Gurman speculates that it could last for many days on a single charge, with the new low-power mode. Furthermore, the smartwatch is rumoured to feature a body temperature sensor.
We will finally get a peek at the new Apple Watch series next week, when the device is unveiled at the Far out event.
