Apple has started rolling out a new firmware update to the Beats Studio Buds truly wireless earbuds. The new update introduces some new features, including an iCloud-based instant pairing feature and new volume controls.
The update has started rolling out in Australia, Canada, China, Japan, the UK, and the US. More countries are likely to follow suit in the next few days. Let us take a look at the latest Beats Studio Buds firmware update and how you can install it.
Beats Studio Buds Gets Instant Pairing, Volume Controls With New Firmware Update
The new firmware update for the Beats Studio Buds has the build number 10M359 and comes with some new features. While the content of the update was relatively unknown, the brand revealed that it enables instant pairing of the Beats Studio Buds via iCloud. The update also comes with new volume controls.
Furthermore, the update brings about a new feature related to the battery status of the Beats Studio Buds. After the update, the battery status of the Beats Studio Buds will be shown on iOS devices every time the charging case is open and is nearby, much like what happens with AirPods. Whenever the charging case is open, a popup will provide the details of the battery levels of both the earbuds and the charging case.

Until now, there was no provision for instant pairing for the Beats Studio Buds, but this has also changed with the update and there’s no need to manually pair them with each new device from now on. New physical controls have been enabled as well, and the “b” button on the earbuds can be used to enable these new physical controls.
Users can change the volume level of the Beats Studio Buds by pressing the side buttons. The feature will work with iOS, macOS, and Android devices.
How To Install New Firmware Update On Beats Studio Buds?
To get the latest firmware update on the Beats Studio Buds, you would need an iPhone, an iPad, or a Mac device running the latest version of iOS/macOS or an Android device with the latest version of the Beats app. On iOS, you can check the firmware version of Beats Studio Buds by going to the Bluetooth menu in the Settings app.
If you are using an Android device, the latest firmware can be flashed via the companion smartphone app from Beats.
