The new earbuds replace the original QuietComfort earbuds, which were released in 2020. The QuietComfort II now features a wholly new design that is one-third smaller than the previous pair and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce.
Bose says that its latest noise-cancelling buds are the best on the market, including in-ear and over-ear varieties. One of the key differentiating features of the new earbuds is the inclusion of the new CustomTune sound calibration. When you put the buds in your ear, they play a proprietary tone that analyzes the acoustic response of your ear canal and thereafter tailors the audio and noise cancellation.

The new QuietComfort II earphones now include a transparency option owing to an ActiveSense feature. This strengthens the Aware Mode algorithm and adjusts the ANC level to ensure that you can hear vital ambient noises while filtering out some background noise.
Each earbud features four microphones, three of which are located on the exterior of the earbuds. Connectivity on the new QC Earbuds II is handled by Bluetooth 5.3, however, they miss out on multi-point pairing. The earbuds are now IPX4 water resistant. Bose is claiming a battery life of six hours and the charging case purportedly delivers an additional 18 hours.
The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II are available in a single triple black colour. The device is priced at $299 (around ₹23,000), with open sales starting from September 15, 2022. Bose says that a second Soapstone colour variant will be available later this year.
