Oppo has been testing the new ColorOS 13 beta for some users on select devices over the past few weeks. Now, the public beta version of ColorOS 13 is being rolled out to the Oppo Find X5 series, Oppo Find N, and OnePlus 10 Pro. The program is limited to a small pool of 1,000 users only and will be spread over multiple rounds of testing.
Notably, the ColorOS 13 public beta test is not just for users in China. Oppo Find X5 and X5 Pro users residing in the following regions can apply for the program—Australia, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, UAE, and Vietnam. How To Get The ColorOS 13 Update
To be eligible for the update, Oppo Find N phones will require ColorOS 12 version A.20/A.22, while the X5 Pro will require version A.20/A.21, and the X5 will require A.18 version. You’ll have to navigate to Settings > About device > Trial versions for the application. You can enroll for an opening in the public beta test by filling up the form with the relevant data. If you’re among the lucky ones to get selected, you will be allowed to download and install ColorOS 13.
Similarly, OnePlus 10 Pro owners can also apply for the ColorOS 13 beta. As is the tradition with updates, you will have to first take a backup of your data before proceeding with the upgrade.

Oppo and OnePlus have a limited number of openings for the ColorOS 13 public beta program. If you do get selected, you will get the ColorOS 13 public beta via an OTA update within five business days. Do note that getting the public beta isn’t advisable if your Oppo or OnePlus device is your primary smartphone, since the beta release has several known issues and bugs.
