Yesterday, Samsung had announced that it will launch the Galaxy F23 5G in the Indian market on March 8, 2022. As per industry insider, Yogesh Brar, the smartphone will carry a sticker price of ₹23,990 for the 6GB RAM & 128GB storage model. But that’s not all, upon checking the contents of the box, Brar has confirmed to us that the phone will not come with a charger inside the box.
This, however, doesn’t come as a surprise. The brand took the decision to stop shipping chargers with its smartphones starting with the Galaxy S21 series. and it was only a matter of time before it would start doing the same with more affordable models. According to Samsung, the brand took this decision to minimise the impact of its products on the environment. This, however, can backfire for the brand in a price-conscious market like India.
Samsung Galaxy F23 5G Specifications
The Galaxy F23 5G features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ TFT LCD panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G processor and will come with multiple storage and RAM variants. As for imaging, the phone packs a triple-camera setup at the rear, with a 50MP Samsung JN1 as its main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP sensor which could either be a depth sensor or a macro camera. At the front, there is an 8MP sensor for selfies.
The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. However, in order to enjoy that fast charging, buyers will have to shell out extra cash to get Samsung’s 25W fast charger. All they will get is a smartphone and a USB Type-C cable in the box. The smartphone will be available in two colour variants: Dark Green and Mint. It will be sold via Samsung e-shop and Flipkart exclusively.
