FiiO, popular for its audio products, has introduced its compact KA 2 DAC and amplifier in India. More often than not, smartphones/tablets come with a mediocre sound output via earphones, especially the ones built on a budget. The FiiO KA 2 can solve your problems as it is a portable device that can be hooked onto your smartphone/tablet for enhanced audio output. The FiiO KA 2 comes with a premium build and packs in dual CS43131 DAC chips, 4.4mm audio interface, Hi-Res Audio certification, digital filters, multi-colour RGB LED, and USB Type-C/Lightning port connector options, among other features. 

FiiO KA 2: Features, Specifications

The FiiO KA 2 comes with all-metal construction and a compact body measuring 40mm x 15mm x 12mm. It weighs only 12.3 grams, which increases its portability. The DAC comes in a single Classic Black colour variant and boasts an industrial design. It comes with a ring-shaped RGB light, which emits different colours for various audio bitrates. 

The FiiO KA 2 is loaded with dual CS43131 DAC chips. The dual DAC is claimed to offer a clear and distortion-free sound output. It supports a 4.4mm audio interface and delivers lossless audio owing to its DSD256 (Direct Stream Digital) and 32-bit/385kHz PCM Hi-Res audio support. Furthermore, it supports DSD64, DSD128, and DSD256 sample rates. The DAC also come with five selectable audio filters to choose from.  

The FiiO KA 2 supports a variety of platforms such as Windows, Android, iOS, and macOS. You can get this DAC with USB Type-C or Lightning connectors, depending on your device. The FiiO Control App is touted to be intuitive and allows you to tune the output according to your taste. That’s not all, you can even upgrade its firmware via the USB port.

The FiiO KA2 DAC/Amplifier comes at a price tag of ₹6,990. You can get it for a special price of ₹5,499 via FiiO’s website. It comes in a sole Classic Black colour option.
