Google Nest Cam With Built-In Rechargeable Battery Launched In India: Price, Specifications

In collaboration with Tata Play, Google has finally made the Nest Cam (battery) available in India. The product will be offered as part of a package and targeted at customers looking for applications for surveillance in homes and small offices. This is the company’s first security camera to reach India.

Google Nest Cam (battery) Specifications And Features

As the name suggests, the Google Nest Cam (battery) has a rechargeable battery and can be used both inside and outside. It has an updated detection and tracking technology that can now track three different kinds of objects—people, vehicles, and animals. A 1/2.8-inch 2MP sensor with a 130-degree field of view is housed inside the camera. The camera has a 16:9 aspect ratio and 6x digital zoom capability.

Additionally, the video quality has been enhanced, and now includes 1080p video with HDR and night vision. The Nest Cam has low-energy Bluetooth and dual-band Wi-Fi capabilities for connectivity. A 6Ah, 3.65V lithium-ion battery is housed inside. A 3.3-foot (1-meter) indoor charging cable and a 7.5-watt USB-A power converter are included in the package, which are used to recharge the camera. Additionally, 10m and 5m weatherproof cables are available for purchase separately.

Since this is a Google product, it can be connected with Google Home and utilise all the functions the app offers. The Nest Cam’s security features include a built-in magnetic sensor and 128-bit AES encryption with TLS/SSL. Additionally, the camera has a premium speaker and microphone, full-duplex two-way audio with noise suppression, and an IP54 rating.

The Google Nest Cam (battery) costs ₹11,999 and will be offered on the Tata Play website from June 23, 2022. It will only be available in the colour Snow. Tata Play will be compatible with the Google Nest Cam (battery). Check out the plans below.

The Nest Cam and the yearly Nest Aware subscription will be included in the Tata Play Secure+ bundle. Familiar Face Detection and 30- or 60-day event video history features are included in the package. All Tata Play subscribers in Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Delhi + NCR, Lucknow, and Jaipur will have access to the service.
