The iQOO 9 series has been available for a little over six months, and rumours of the iQOO 10 are already circulating. As per the information originating from Weibo leakers, the series will have the first phone powered by a Dimensity 9000+ chipset.
The Dimensity 9000+ SoC, MediaTek’s flagship for this year, was unveiled last week. Even though this new SoC only slightly improves performance, it was undoubtedly designed to compete with the recently released Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Along with upgrades to the signal processing and 5G modem, the chip also receives a small CPU and GPU increase. The fast Cortex-X2 core increases in speed from 3.05 GHz to 3.2 GHz, and MediaTek anticipates commercial availability in the third quarter.

Given that Q3 begins in a week, the iQOO 10 series has not yet received a release date. The phone could be introduced in the Chinese market by late July or early August. We do not know which of the two smartphones, the iQOO 10 or the iQOO 10 Pro, will be powered by the Dimensity 9000+. If one of these phones features the Dimensity 9000+, the other will most likely use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
